What pigmentation do you treat?

Sunspots

Mainly on the hands and face, sunspots (sometimes known as age spots or liver spots) are flat and light to medium brown in colour.

Melasma*

Often linked to hormonal changes like pregnancy, melasma is reoccuring brown-coloured patches on the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin that are darker than your natural skin tone.

*Due to melasma’s hormonal nature, a patch test is required prior to treatment to assess suitability. Results vary from person to person and changes in lifestyle or supplementary treatment courses may be required in addition to laser removal for best results. During your consultation and patch test, our experts will use the Fitzpatrick scale to identify your skin tone and adjust the laser settings for your treatment. We can safely treat pigmentation on Fitzpatrick 1-3 skin types. At the moment, there are limitations on safely treating pigmentation on darker, Fitzpatrick 4-6 skin.

We’re working hard with our physicists to reach a breakthrough across all skin types.
